Really nice State Park. First come, first serve; we got there late and the most level spots were taken. Otherwise half circle drives were so bad.

The February 2009 review says about what I encountered as well. However I requested a site next to my brother-in-law and the owners gave me just that or had a 2nd option depending on our rig. The owner came out and helped us navigate into the site due to the closeness of the oaks. Yes: you might lose awning space, but the tree overhang made up for it. Very easy park to find off 188/35: the entrance is where the weigh station used to be. No lights, so it's hard to see at night when looking for the entrance.

What a cool RV park situated within the Castroville City Park. The Medina River is about 100 yards away. Ken the RV Park Manager is the man. Well maintained, RV park is chip and seal and plenty of alternate parking for cars. Easy in and out with back gate to exit. Only drawback was no credit cards accepted.

The review below says it all. I didn't rate it a 10 because wifi is important to us, and it is very weak and I was located within 100' of the store. They even had routers on the poles for those further down the road Nice turn around area too. Not many folks there, it was about 1/4 full at most. Lots of snow birds and trout fisherman. Our neighbor complained he caught his 5 limit before breakfast and ran out of things to do! The sites were gravel with concrete picnic pad. The river view was great.

This centrally located boutique RV Park is located central to all things to do in FW. About 4 of the 18 slots are for pop ups the remaining can handle up to 45', no issues getting in or out even though it is tight. We parked in #9, under a large tree, which the birds tend to rest in leaving my roof and window in a less desired state no to mention the acorns diving bombing on the roof. I really like this place. The Park hostess rocks too!! Super nice and makes it warm around there. Plenty of stores near by. The spaces are close and it is a tight turning radius, just don't be in a hurry.

This camp rocks. Quiet. Friendly owners/employees and campers. As a cyclist, I also ride the area and the locals are bike friendly for sure. No worries riding on a 2 lane road with lots of climbing, deer, and scenery. Only issue during this time of year is the leaves from the cypress trees stick to your shoes and once inside your MH, are like needles. Just unpleasant. But wearing indoor/outdoor shoes/slippers takes care of that issue. Garner State Park is really nice. Lots of good hiking. The Frio is beautiful and cold. Recommend this stop.

Huge, well maintained, excellent friendly staff. We stayed during offseason so it was practically empty towards the back. All concrete pads/driveways. Food at the rec hall was cheap and worth it when too tired from all day beach/fishing.

Just off 306/Sattler-easy to get to and pull in with our 38' Motorhome. Two rows for pull through, with back row plenty of room. I stayed in #73, nice pecan tree for shade. Outdoor table was heavy duty and big for family meals. Pool nice, bathroom clean the few times we used them. Check was a breeze and store stays open past posted times. Raft company on the grounds made it easy. Buddies stayed in tents up front near river and said it was loud into the wee hours. Said resort officials had to go out there several times to lower the loud talking. Pedestals were wired correctly and up to par.

This is a family oriented place in that they have lots of stuff to do for kids: pool, mini golf, swings, etc. The slide wasn't in use, except for the ducks. We just used it as a campsite, not all the amentities thus only there at night for 2 nights. Due to rain it was cooler temps and muddy. One thing for sure: seems the men like to walk around without shirts or in wife-beaters, and I am talking about guys that rather eat than level the RV. I will stay here next year when we return to the area. Was worth the price to get full hook-ups.

State Park so you pay an $8 entry fee plus the nightly fee. Back into concrete pads, trees aren't trimmed so beware. Stayed at #3 and no real place to eat outdoors as the ground rolled downhill once off the pad. Bathrooms/shower were clean. Stayed there in our 28' Class C and still had room to park a car in our slot. Had campfires, but grills were in bad shape. bring your own.
